Sophie is...

back from camp. hooray! She said she had the BEST time. She made lots of new friends and most of the girls live in Ballard and attend Washington middle school. There were two girls in her cabin that were here from Taiwan. She had lots of fun with them and said they were very sweet. She cant wait to go back next year-she even got to be a lifeguard there. Seth was happy to see her and Soph was exhausted though that didnt keep her from staying up late-it is after all-summer vacation

larry and his brother, tom, were at it again. this time they went crawdadding. is that even a word?? ;) they found a pretty spot on lake washington.

You two made Seth's week!!!!!! he was so excited to get your package today and it has kept him busy all afternoon. we have hunted bugs outside with the flashlight, read about diggers and built roads for all the "unstruction" vehicles. thanks so much!! when kathy asked him why you sent him a package he said "because they love me "

Sophie off to camp

Kathy drove us to fisherman's terminal in Ballard-way to early-haha. we checked in her luggage and then off to turn in her health forms and check in

soph and her friends from school that are also going to camp-Sophie, Kate, Ellen (who is attending horse camp there) and Mikaela. Soph, Kate and Mikaela will all get to be in the same cabin together-hooray!

Kathy and Seth went to check out all the boats and ships while Soph and I checked in

All the campers finally boarded the GoodtimeII for a 3 hour fun filled cruise to Vashon Island. hope she is having the time of her life!!

Our day out with Thomas the Train

We got tickets months ago and the day seemed it would never arrive-our trip on Thomas the Train! We drove to the Snoqualmie Railway Museum and boy it was a hot day-90 degrees there. We rode on Thomas for half an hour , past the falls and over the river-it was beautiful!!

Afterwards we went on all the antique steam and oil trains. they had lots of entertainment for the kids-singers, clowns, food etc...As Seth said after "I sure had a great day with Thomas"
