new school shoes

sophie had to have a new pair of school shoes now that her feet have grown into a giant size 8 practicaly overnight. her favorite and only choice is low top converse sneakers. she wanted purple but we could only find navy in her size. i imagine she will need a pair of leather tennis shoes once the rain begins in fall but she doesnt think so-ha!!

the first day of 7th grade

where does the time go???? chloe starts school on the 28th and has signed up for her classes already. seth was waiting for sophie to come home today and she was greeted with "i missed you all day, sophie"
she came home and said it was a pretty good day. her math teacher didnt thrill her as she was put in 8th grade honors math instead of 7th and the teacher is strict. she loved the language arts teacher and cant tell yet about the french-haha. time will tell. here's to a great school year!!

tonight was 7th grade orientation

soph got her class list and supply list tonight. i cannot believe the stuff on the supply list, what happened to pencils by the box and stacks of paper? this year school is starting and ending later 8:05-2:35
here are a list of her classes:
1st period is honors math (she is stressed about this class and has to get a special graph calculater for it)
2nd period is science
3rd period is u.s. history
4th period is language arts
5th period is french 1
6th period is phys ed
7th period is advisory

she so was hoping to take chinese all year this time since she already began it last year but she got chosen for french. hope she loves it. you can tell by this pic that she is growing like a weed.she has shot up over the last two months. she is taller than chloe and almost as tall as me. sooooo weird. her shoe is a size 8 now!! she put her sweat jacket on to go tonight and it look like it shrank 3 sizes, haha
anyway she had a great time seeing her friends before the big first day on the 9th
